Common questions

Who is adaptive clothing for?
Anyone who finds dressing hard, and the people who help them. That includes seniors with arthritis or stiff hands, people living with Alzheimer's, dementia or Parkinson's, wheelchair users, stroke survivors, anyone recovering from surgery, and family or professional caregivers.
Does it look different from regular clothing?
Very little. Buttons are sewn on over hidden VELCRO® tabs, back closures sit out of sight, and jumpsuits are made to look like a separate top and pants. It looks and feels like the person's own style.
Should I choose open-back or front-closing styles?
If they still dress themselves, front closures like VELCRO® fasteners or pull-on styles help them stay independent. If someone else does most of the dressing, especially seated or in bed, open-back tops and side-zip pants mean less lifting and strain for both of you.
Does it hold up to frequent washing?
Many of our garments are made from durable cotton/poly fabrics chosen to stand up to frequent laundering, at home or in a care facility. Each product page lists its fabric and care details.
