I have always loved hearing stories of others. Maybe it was because my grandfather always lived with our family and his stories of growing up were so very different from life as we knew it in the 1950s and '60s. When we started Buck and Buck we drove to nursing facilities all over Washington, Oregon and Idaho, and we met many wonderful and interesting people. A "Life Story" book like this can provide a connection with the person you are interviewing, and can be a welcome challenge for seniors to reminisce about their lives. This can be a great tool for new staff, volunteers, or families.
