What is home care clothing?


Home care clothing are garments designed for ease of wear for the individual who requires care at home. It is also important that the designs are easy to use and care for by the caregiver. Buck and Buck carries a broad line of home care clothing developed through observations made of home care situations and from input from customers and healthcare workers.
We designed our home care clothing to meet the needs of the elderly who wish to remain at home while receiving the aid of a healthcare worker. It is more desirable to keep the elderly at home with the assistance of home health aides if that is what the individual wishes. Our home care clothing line will allow the elderly individual to wear the clothes they are accustomed to, but also assist the healthcare worker to dress and provide personal care more easily. If the senior is able to dress her or himself, any of our everyday designs will work well. If the senior needs the assistance of a caregiver to get dressed, then our many adaptive designs will be perfect.
How does this work? Our home care clothing garments have a selection of open back, side zip and Velcro® closure designs that help the home health aide to dress the elderly patient while she or he is still in bed or sitting in a chair. This is useful because it causes less tugging and pulling to get the patient dressed and also allows access to provide personal care more often.
