As we get older, layers are often the answer to being comfortable since our "internal thermostats" don't work as well as they used to. Remember that all of our items can be turned into snap back designs for those who need that type of adaptation. The snap back is very useful for the woman who has restricted arm or shoulder mobility. The open back style allows the woman to look fashionable yet provides the caregiver with a garment that is easier to use.

The open back sweater comes in two styles. One is a wrap back style that features snaps at the shoulder. No snaps to lean against assuring comfort and dressing ease. Any woman with mobility issues in the arms would benefit from this sweater. The arms can be held forward, no reaching to the back needed! The caregiver then slips the arms into the sweater sleeves and gently pulls the sweater in place and snaps the garment closed at the shoulder. The other style is the snap back, rear closure sweater with the snaps down the center of the back. The process of dressing is the same as the wrap back, but the snaps close down the full length of the sweater. Either style promotes dressing ease for the woman with mobility restrictions in the arms.
