Clothes to Prevent Undressing in People with Alzheimers

Unintentional undressing for those adults who suffer from Alzheimer's or other dementias can be very disturbing to family, visitors and to the individual if he or she realizes what happened during a lucid moment.  The person with the dementia does not know what she is doing.  The tendency to pull on clothing is just that the clothing is "handy" and the constant need to keep the hands busy finds the clothes to be an easy target.

To help prevent this embarassing and sometimes messy situation, we have made jumpsuits for women and for men in daywear and nightwear.  The jumpsuits look like everyday clothing except that the garments open down the back with a long zipper.  The wearer cannot unzip the clothing, so for personal care, someone needs to be available for toileting, etc.

Please take a look through our catalog for other dressing solutions.
